The My Westie is My Bestie shop is open!

Here you will find fun Westie related gear and merchandise. As part of our desire to help Westies in need, we will be donating a portion of the proceeds to chosen charities.

For the months of October, November and December we are raising money for WestieMed. Read the story below about how WestieMed helped a Westie who has joined us on many walks in Windsor Great Park.

Twenty percent of the proceeds from sales on the My Westie is My Bestie shop will be donated to this very worthy organization.

They help rescued Westies in need of medical attention. WestieMed is an all-volunteer, non-profit created to distribute financial aid to injured or ill rescued Westies.

All projects and activities of WestieMed are funded by charitable contributions. With these contributions from donors, they help injured or ill Westies, giving them a second chance at adoption and love from a permanent family.

Our Westie friend Pasha started her journey as a foster pup in March 2013. At that time she was very withdrawn, unfit, not socialized, had a severe yeast infection, skin problems, wispy and thin hair, her back was dipped with the weight due to being overweight. She didn't bark and, as she was withdrawn, she spent her days finding places to hide. Treats were the only way she would appear from her hiding place.

A family was following Pasha's journey on social media. In June 2013 they lost their little Westie, Poppy, and were heartbroken. The family made the decision to get another little Westie so they made inquiries about fostering Pasha. They met Pasha twice and received the wonderful news they could foster her.

Unfortunately, Pasha's health continued to be an issue and the foster family needed some help. This is where WestieMed stepped in and gave assistance. With their help, Pasha was able to receive the treatment. To learn more about WestieMed and how you can get involved or help, go to www.westiemed.org.

If you have a charity you would like us to raise money for, please send the name, website address, and UK registered charity number to My.Westie.Is.My.Bestie@gmail.com. We are looking for charities to support in 2018.
