It is with a heavy and sorrowful heart that I said goodbye to my best friend on the 8th of May. The pulmonary fibrosis took its toll and our time together ran out. When he was diagnosed, it was a reminder to me that pets are part of our lives for a short time and it became my mission to make sure that every single day was awesome for him. Life in our house revolved around him and we were blessed. He was the most lovely boy. He filled our lives with love and laughter.
I want to send out a special thank you to all of our friends who we met while out on walks, the Starbucks team on the Staines High Street for giving lots of love to my boy, Emma our dog walker who was absolutely adored by Mr. M, Amanda and Nelson over at Clockhouse Pet Groomers and Doggy Day Care for their fun place where Monty loved and was so excited to go, Emma at Dandy Dogz for the love and care each time he went in for a doggy spa and grooming session, our neighbours Mick and Maureen for all the treats and attention, to Auntie Mari for the treats and fun walks, to our friends Sarah and Anja for the fun walks, treats, and fun at the Fox and Hound pub, to Aim, LV, & Sandy for being my BFFs, to Denise and Mindy for that fun day out in Lewes, to Sarah, Ettie, and Tia for our many walks up in the Great Park, to the Snelson and Cone families for all the treats and long-distance love, to the Church family along with Hugo, Chelsea, Maddie who were great friends to Monty, to Hanna for your support, thank you to Ketan and Jon, to my Fulham FC buddies, to all of my friends at work for their support and love, to the Christie family for their help and little Emerson for making me fall in love with Westies, to our friend Mark for helping us out with our family Christmas photo, to the Wolton family and Pumpkin for a fun weekend in Suffolk, to the Graham family for raising such a wonderful little boy and gifting him to me, to our friends Beth and Nathan for loving Monty to pieces, to Bobby for taking care of Mr. M when mummy wasn't around, to the wonderful team of vets at Runnymede Hill Vetrinary who cared for Monty in a compassionate, kind, and loving way and who provided me with as many tissues as I needed, and lastly to all of our friends in the My Westie is My Bestie community - thank you for your support.
Here is a slideshow of my favorite photos of him.
It is our endeavour to create a community of Westies and their owners in the Berkshire, Hampshire, Middlesex, Surrey, & our Westie friends worldwide.
