My dog is a foodie (as I am sure most pups are) and he will eat nearly anything we come across when on our walks. So I've become quite good with my eagle-eye in spotting discarded food items before he does. I always think of him as the luckiest dog in the world. While out on our walks he has found:
...which all of these I was able to either get there first or pull from his mouth. Then, there is a whole other list of mystery items where I never got there in time. We were very lucky he never became ill. On another note, his most favorite treat is a little dab of homemade peanut butter. As soon as I crack the jar open to make myself toast or a sandwich, he comes running. Is your dog a foodie? What are his or her most favorite treats? What are the craziest foods have you found while out on walks? Please comment below.

I found this great little article on The Daily Puppy by Yvette Sajem as a good reminder about which foods to avoid for dogs. Most of the foods listed are quite obvious, but there were a few I hadn't considered before. Like Yvette mentions in her article, if a dog eats any of the items listed in this article, don't wait for the symptoms, go directly to your vetrinary hospital. Click here to view the article...
