This past winter, we experienced severe flooding in our area. We received a letter from the Environmental Agency letting us know that we were in an area where there was significant threat to life. Luckily for us, the water never reached our house, but in the case that it did, I wish I would have read this article to be prepared to leave with everything little Monty would need.
I found this article on disaster preparedness for pets. I especially liked the part about the pet evacuation kit.
